MasterGo AI

Digital Interface Production Platform in the AI Era

Intern Project 2023 Summer

MasterGo is a cloud-based design collaboration platform that enables teams to create, prototype, and manage user interfaces in real time.

During my internship at MasterGo, I worked on AI-powered UI generation features designed to help users efficiently create layouts and components.

Beyond developing these features, I created instructional materials to improve how users learn to use them by structuring AI-generated outputs and embedding guidance within real design workflows.

Collaborated with engineers to refine the component generation system, ensuring that layouts followed consistent patterns and that generated components aligned with the platform’s design logic.

I contributed to improving the accuracy of outputs by reducing inconsistencies and minimizing hallucinations, making the system more predictable and reliable for users.

After implementing these features, my team and I began to notice a gap between system capability and user understanding.

While the AI could generate layouts effectively, many users—especially those new to design tools—struggled to interpret components and apply them in their own workflows.

Coming from a design background where I worked with components for a long time, I recognized the need to make these concepts more accessible. I proposed creating small, component-based learning modules paired with short instructional videos to support users in understanding and applying these features.

Design Process

Development

I designed a series of simplified component modules and paired them with step-by-step tutorial videos that focused on real workflows. Drawing inspiration from existing UI libraries and onboarding patterns, I structured the content to reduce complexity and make key concepts easier to grasp for beginners.

THE ROOM explores the possibilities of the hallway in the 950 building, a circulation space often overlooked as a simple and ordinary passage.

I reimagined it as a dynamic environment that inspires interaction and fosters new patterns of use. By analyzing spatial behaviors and utilizing mixed-reality technologies, I aimed to redefine how people experience and navigate these shared public spaces, encouraging greater awareness and appreciation for often unnoticed spaces and events.

Evaluation & Outcome

The success of this project was reflected in users’ increased ability to understand component structures and apply them more confidently in their own projects.
